Baby Loss Keepsakes: A Directory of Loss-Mama Businesses Created With Love

10/21/20268 min read

When you lose a baby, there can be a need to do something tangible with all the love you still have for them. A piece of jewellery, a memory bear, a piece of artwork or something with their name on it can become a way of keeping them close.

What makes some of these keepsakes even more meaningful is the story behind the businesses creating them. Many have been started by loss parents themselves, often after they struggled to find something they wanted for their own baby.

Their businesses have grown from unimaginable loss into something that helps other families remember their babies too.

This directory brings together small businesses founded by loss parents, making it easier for families to discover meaningful keepsakes.

Little Santi Designs 🀍

Founded by: Jess, A loss mama, created in memory of baby Santi
Speciality: Miscarriage and pregnancy-loss jewellery based on the size of each little life at the time of loss

Little Santi Designs creates meaningful miscarriage and pregnancy-loss jewellery designed to represent the size of a baby at different stages of early pregnancy. Her collection includes delicate rings and necklaces, and soon bracelets, with pieces representing stages from the very beginning of pregnancy through to 21 weeks. Each design offers a tangible way for a parent to acknowledge the baby they loved and the brief but deeply significant time they shared together.

A little about their story

Little Santi Designs was born from its founder's own experience of pregnancy loss. She remembers her first baby, Santi, who was lost at nine weeks, and created the business from a deeply personal desire to honour that little life and keep the connection alive.

What began from one mother's experience of loss has become a small business dedicated to commemorating babies lost during pregnancy and creating a community where those losses are understood and acknowledged. Her jewellery is designed not simply as something to wear, but as a tangible reminder that even the shortest lives can leave an enormous and lasting mark.

Footprint and Feather 🀍

Founded by: Shellie , a loss mama to Aspen
Speciality: Weighted birth-weight memory bears and personalised baby keepsakes

Footprint & Feather creates handcrafted keepsakes designed to give families something tangible to hold close. Its weighted memory bears can be made to match a baby's birth weight, creating a physical reminder of just how small their little one was. The bears can be personalised with a baby's name, weight or birth date, with different sizes available depending on the weight being represented.

The business also creates hand-embroidered baby blankets and personalised newborn hats. Each piece is made individually rather than being mass-produced, with names hand embroidered to make every keepsake unique.

A little about their story

Footprint & Feather was created by Shellie from her own experience of baby loss. After losing one of her twin boys at 27 weeks, while her surviving baby spent 50 days in NICU, Shellie searched for something she could hold that would help her feel connected to her babies. When she couldn't find quite what she was looking for, she made her own weighted bears β€” and Footprint & Feather was born.

The business grew from that very personal need: the desire to remember how small her baby was and recreate, in some small way, the physical feeling of having him in her arms. Today, Shellie creates keepsakes for other families with the same understanding that these aren't simply gifts or handmade products. They are physical reminders of babies who are deeply loved and remembered.

Heidi & Hope Co. 🀍

Founded by: Courtney, a bereaved mother and Heidi-Louise's mummy
Speciality: Bespoke baby loss cards, personalised keepsake prints and memorial artwork

Heidi & Hope Co. creates bespoke cards, keepsake prints and personalised artwork for families remembering a baby or child who has died. Many of the designs can be created using a baby's own name, handprints or footprints, giving families a way to include something uniquely connected to their baby. Heidi & Hope Co. creates pieces that acknowledge a baby's existence and give families something tangible to treasure and display.

A little about their story

Heidi & Hope Co. was born from Courtney's own experience of losing her firstborn daughter, Heidi-Louise, who lived for just six weeks and four days before passing away from SIDS in January 2020. Courtney describes the business as a way of giving Heidi-Louise her own little legacy, while using her artwork to help other bereaved parents hold onto the precious memories they have of their children.

What began from Courtney's own loss has become a way of supporting other families through some of the hardest moments of the year. Her aim is not only to create beautiful personalised pieces, but also to help normalise baby loss and make sure babies who are no longer here continue to be remembered. As Courtney says, she is Heidi's mummy, and everything she creates is done in her memory.

Ever Since Esme 🀍

Founded by: Chloe, in memory of her daughter Esme
Speciality: Personalised remembrance clothing, baby loss journals and supportive resources

Ever Since Esme creates personalised remembrance clothing designed to help bereaved parents keep their baby's name close. Their collection includes personalised T-shirts and sweatshirts, as well as designs for siblings and children who have a brother or sister they cannot grow up alongside. The clothing is created to help families include their baby in everyday life and, where they choose, open up conversations about the baby they have lost.

Alongside its clothing, Ever Since Esme also creates resources specifically for people navigating baby loss, including a baby loss journal designed to encourage parents to explore and process the emotions they are experiencing, as well as a free parents' guide covering the early stages of loss through to the first year. The business also offers resources for relatives supporting someone through baby loss.

A little about their story

Ever Since Esme was created in honour of Esme, who was born on 18 February 2022. After a long journey to parenthood, including seven years of trying to conceive, multiple miscarriages, endometriosis surgery and two rounds of IVF, Esme was the much-longed-for baby girl her parents had waited so long to meet. She was born with no heartbeat and, after a week together, her parents had to say goodbye.

The idea for Ever Since Esme came from a simple but deeply important need: to have something that acknowledged the loss of a daughter and showed the world that she existed. Her mum wanted to be able to talk about Esme, wear something that represented her and keep her included in everyday life. That desire became the foundation for a business created not only to honour Esme, but to help other bereaved parents feel seen, understood and less alone.

The name Esme continues to be at the heart of everything the business creates, with the hope that her legacy can bring comfort and support to other families navigating life after baby loss.

The Milk Gift 🀍

Founded by: A mother who has experienced both the joy of breastfeeding and the grief of baby loss
Speciality: Breastmilk jewellery and breastmilk keepsakes for families.

The Milk Gift creates handcrafted breastmilk jewellery and keepsakes that honour breastfeeding as an act of love, connection and care. Their collection includes necklaces, rings and earrings, with breastmilk incorporated into each bespoke piece to create a tangible reminder of a family's feeding journey. The jewellery is available to families whether their baby came home or not, recognising that breastfeeding and expressing milk can hold profound meaning after loss too.

Alongside its jewellery collection, The Milk Gift has created The Keepsake Bottle, a simple, gender-neutral keepsake containing a small amount of preserved breastmilk. Rather than offering bereaved parents a long list of choices at an already overwhelming time, the bottle has been intentionally designed as one thoughtful and accessible keepsake. For parents who have stored breastmilk after losing their baby, it provides a way to preserve a small part of that experience and acknowledge the significance of their feeding journey.

A little about their story

The Milk Gift was created from personal experience. Its founder is a mother who has experienced both the joy of breastfeeding a living child and the grief of losing a child, and she wanted to create something that could honour both sides of that experience. The business grew from an understanding that breastfeeding can carry an incredibly deep emotional meaning, and that the experience can continue to matter even when a baby is no longer here.

What makes The Milk Gift particularly distinctive is its A Shared Gift model. With each piece of jewellery purchased, a contribution is made towards creating a breastmilk keepsake for a bereaved family. The Keepsake Bottles are primarily provided through partnerships with hospitals, bereavement teams, charities and healthcare professionals, allowing one family's purchase to help extend the opportunity to another family experiencing loss.

The Milk Gift is also working to encourage greater recognition of breastfeeding within bereavement care, helping families to have the opportunity to preserve and honour their milk if they wish to do so. At the heart of the business is a simple idea: both joy and grief can exist together, and both deserve to be held with compassion.

NRL Designs by Lauren 🀍

Founded by: Lauren, mummy to Rupert
Speciality: Personalised baby loss cards, memorial prints, footprint artwork and remembrance keepsakes

NRL Designs creates personalised cards and prints designed to help families remember and celebrate babies who are no longer here. The baby loss collection includes personalised remembrance cards, Wave of Light prints, baby footprint memorial artwork, personalised poems and memorial line drawings created from photographs. There are also designs specifically for siblings, including cards and keepsakes that acknowledge a brother or sister who is missing from their lives.

Many of the pieces can be personalised with a baby's name, dates, footprints or meaningful details, allowing families to create something that feels connected specifically to their baby. Alongside the baby loss collection, NRL Designs creates a wide range of personalised family and milestone prints, but remembrance and baby loss remain an important part of the shop's story and inspiration.

A little about their story

NRL Designs was born from Lauren's own experience of losing her beautiful baby boy, Rupert, who was born sleeping in 2021. While navigating her grief, Lauren found herself searching for meaningful cards, prints and keepsakes for Rupert and for other precious babies he had "met among the stars". She found it difficult to find the gentle, heartfelt designs she was looking for, and from that place, NRL Designs began.

What started as a small collection created in Rupert's memory has grown into an expanding range of cards and prints, with Rupert continuing to inspire the work Lauren creates. She describes herself as mummy to three beautiful babies β€” Noah and Luna, whom she holds in her arms, and Rupert, whom she holds in her heart.

NRL Designs also donates a percentage of each sale to baby loss causes that are close to Lauren's heart, allowing the business to honour Rupert while supporting other babies, parents and families along the way. It is a beautiful example of how something created from one family's grief can become a way of acknowledging and remembering many more babies.

Angel of Mine Keepsakes 🀍

Founded by: Cathy, mummy to Adam
Speciality: Personalised baby loss keepsakes, memorial jewellery, memory boxes, candles and remembrance gifts

Angel of Mine Keepsakes creates personalised memorial gifts designed to help families honour and remember babies, children and loved ones who have died. Its collection includes engraved jewellery and keyrings, personalised memory boxes, memorial candles, baby loss comfort boxes, keepsake bears and Christmas decorations. Families can personalise many of these pieces with a baby's name, dates, photographs or meaningful messages, creating something tangible that reflects the person they are remembering.

A little about their story

Angel of Mine Keepsakes began with Cathy's own experience of losing her baby boy, Adam. After his death, Cathy bought a simple circle pendant, and the comfort and connection it brought her became the inspiration for something much bigger. Having originally worked with wedding jewellery, she gradually began hand-stamping pendants and keyrings in memory of babies and loved ones, hoping to help other families experience that same feeling of closeness.

As Cathy explains in her About Us story, she wanted to create something that allowed other parents to carry a tangible reminder of their baby with them. What began as a deeply personal way of remembering Adam has grown into a small team creating meaningful keepsakes for families navigating grief.
